Where can you find sugar?

soft drink, cakes, cookies, pies, cereal, canned fruit, ketchup, salad dressings, peanut butter, jams, jelly, ice creams, pudding and more.  Read the food labels. Sugar should be 15 grams per serving. Look at the ingredient label. the first word is sugar beware, but also know sugar has many names, sorbitol ( gum sugar, and syrups, and salads dressings). Corn syrup, fructose are just some of the names.

Ways to cut back on sugar

1. Add fruit on your cereal in the morning.

2. Boiled tea bags in apple juice to sweetned the beverage.

3. Choose sugar-free products.

4. Buy unsweetened cereals, such as shredded wheat, corn flakes, puffed rice.

5. Make your own cakes, with pureed fruit or Splenda. Use applesauce in place of sugar.

6, Use more spices instead of sugar  cinnamon, dried fruits

7. Eat a smaller version of a large candy bar.

And most of all, cut back on the portion sizes of  sweets.
