It is the second week in June, and most of the children across the United States of America are out of school. Yeah, vacation time begins. Stop, Do you have your sunscreen, your bug spray, important phone numbers and the list goes on. However, what we fail to bring is: Our Diet Plan. Yes, We are on vacation, but it does not mean we leave our diet plan behind.
You can still follow a healthy diet/meal plan.
1. Email your nutritionist if you get in trouble. For real!, Well, some of us : still communicate with our patients while they are on vacation.
2. Call the hotel/restaurant ahead and ask for their menu. This way you can pick out the healthy-low-fat meals
3. Ask the waiter ” how is the meal prepared?”. They will prepare the meal to your wishes.
4. Choose a restaurant that allows more food choices.
5. Don’t center all your activities around eating.
6. Balance your meals : high-fat appetizer with a low-fat meal, and a low-calorie beverage.
And most of all have a great time.
