Kara Davis, M.D. is a board-certified internist currently in practice in the Chicago South Suburbs. She is actively involved with the American Diabetes Association and the American Heart Association. Dr. Davis is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Dr. Davis is married to Bishop Lance Davis, and is the mother of four children. She is the author of Spiritual Secrets to Weight Loss (Siloam Press, 2008) and Spiritual Secrets to a Healthy Heart (Siloam Press, 2013). Currently, she is pursuing a Masters of Divinity with North Park Theological Seminary. Dr. Davis is a gifted speaker on both health and spiritual topics. She contributes to a variety of publications and conducts radio and television interview, both locally and nationally.

Ms. Rogers finished her roles as the Chairperson for the African American Committee of Interest Group of the American Association of Diabetes Educators, Diversity Leader and Mentor for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, FACE for Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for 2012-2013 and a Nutritional Consultant for Fuel Up to Play 60 program. She is currently a secretary for NOBIDAN (National Organization of Blacks in Dietetics and Nutrition). Denine Rogers is a published and accomplished author and speaker. She loves to do blogging, traveling, gardening and learning about different cultural backgrounds.

Majorie ,Co-Founder of Anything Vegan- I thought everything was good in my life, I did what the Food and Drug Adminstration(FDA) called’ healthy eating’, even paying attention to balancing that food pyramid with all the meat, eggs and dairy prominently featured, As an attorney, I was used to reading analyzing, and applying knowledge. But when I applied the common guidance, it was not producing the results I wanted-good health, nutrition , energy. Something was very wrong. As I saw my grandmother s suffer and die from breast cancer, experienced the anguish of my husband dying in the night from heart at 42 years old, and having to decide whether to pull the plug on my own loving, caring mother as she lay in a coma with her lungs, deteriorating rapidly. I knew something was wrong. They all ate the way I was eating. My personal health was also deteriorating. Doctors wanted to cut out my gallbladder because of painful gallstones. That sounded like death to me. I was not ready to die. And I knew taking the skin off the chicken wasn’t going to cut it.
